Denza launches in Austria: Z9GT pre-sales with megawatt charging begin in November
BYD’s premium brand Denza has named its first partner in Austria. Pre-sales of the Z9GT, which is expected to support charging at over 1,000 kW, begin in November.
AI-generated imageDenza, BYD’s premium brand, announced details of its entry into the Austrian market on 7 October 2026. Its first official retail partner will be CCI Car Austria GmbH, which already sells BYD vehicles. Two locations are planned in Vienna, including a showroom on Parkring.
Z9GT to be the first model
The first model will be the Z9GT, a shooting brake. Pre-sales begin in November 2026, and the company says advance reservations are already available. Denza is promoting the model with charging technology that is expected to enable charging power of over 1,000 kW.
What megawatt charging means
Charging power at this level requires compatible charging stations. How many stations offering this power will be available in Austria remains unclear. In everyday use, the Z9GT will therefore initially also be charged at conventional fast chargers.
Implications for the automotive trade
Chinese manufacturers continue to expand their presence in Europe, increasingly in the premium segment as well. For B2B partners involved in exports and re-imports, it is worth monitoring pricing and availability in individual countries.
