Last week, Hyundai announced that its Metaplant in Georgia, originally planned as an exclusive facility for electric vehicles, will now also include the production of additional hybrid models in the U.S. This move is aimed at broadening the variety of hybrid options available within its lineup of gasoline-powered vehicles.

Polestar has announced that using StoreDot’s „silicon-dominant“ battery cells, they have developed a prototype electric vehicle that can charge from 10% to 80% in just 10 minutes. Despite this technology possibly being several years from mass production, and the fact that the Polestar 5, which was used for this experiment, will debut with alternative batteries, this development serves as a significant validation of the technology.

The firm responsible for the Emily GT EV, which was developed by a group of ex-Saab engineers, is considering manufacturing it in Italy. This move could potentially introduce a new line of electric vehicles comprising various models such as a wagon, coupe, and convertible.

According to a new report by researchers at the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the reliability of electric vehicle charging stations could be significantly improved by adopting more adaptable controls and a layout similar to that of traditional gas stations.
